Who I am
“All I aim for with my offerings is to make people be more in their bodies, love their bodies despite our stories & weight and also meet their mind, thoughts & emotions with the same compassion. My aim is not self-improvement and I won’t promise you anything by the way. This is an ongoing trial of finding more connection & joy & courage to show up for the world.”
Maria is a spaceholder for physical, mental and spiritual experiences.
Maria is a 400-hour certified yoga and meditation teacher with training in Hatha, Vinyasa, and Kundalini styles. A part from these scholastic trainings her path has also been profoundly shaped by her years of close study with her Indian teacher, Srikanth Reddy Beeram, who instilled in her a non-dogmatic, open-hearted approach to yoga and nurtured her deep love for mantra and chanting — elements that continue to resonate through her teaching.
With over 20 years of dedicated personal practice, she has developed a unique, eclectic, and deeply intuitive teaching style that weaves together diverse movement practices, different breath work, somatic healing as well as nervous system regulation techniques.
Her classes emphasize safety, accessibility & intuitive sequencing with the goal of truly connecting to the body and releasing accumulated tension and unprocessed emotions. She occasionally also incorporates advanced asanas, they are approached playfully, not as a central focus.
Music plays an integral role in her sessions — not just as background, but as a co-creator of rhythm and mood. She guides students through a dynamic arc, blending activating cardio-inspired sequences, steady-flowing asana, and deeply restorative stretches, interwoven with a range of breathing techniques designed to support heart rate variability, emotional regulation & resilience.
Maria’s style is both grounded in ancient yogic tradition and refreshingly non-dogmatic. Her sessions are free-spirited, embodied, and spiritual, honoring tradition while embracing evolution. Her sessions offer space to explore, invigorate & release — a space where discipline meets freedom, and depth meets play and where we can connect to something deeper within.
Maria is born & raised in Bavaria, Germany. The love of languages, literature and fashion brought her to Paris after her studies where she lived and worked for 10 years in fashion communication. After a brief period in Berlin, Maria moved with her family in 2022 to a hidden farmhouse in the Piedmontese forests. Maria teaches in person, locally in Piedmont at the Orsolina28 art foundation, at events in Milan, Turin, Berlin & Paris and also during her signature retreats.
